Our Purpose
Lovely Serenity was founded to teach, model, encourage and provide a safe space for individuals to develop a deeper understanding of and connection to themselves while enhancing their connection with others. We aim to provide self-exploration, personal healing, renewal, and growth through trauma informed coaching, online library of resources, social connection opportunities, mindful movement, exercise, community events and wellness retreats. Our mission is to encourage others to lean into their own journeys of self-exploration and self-love and grow their individual versions of Lovely Serenity!
Nica Ries, Owner
Nica is passionate about movement and using yoga to manage mental health, heal and cope with trauma and promote overall physical and psychological wellness.
Nica is embarking on a new journey of increasing her own knowledge and wellness practice while also creating a place to connect, share ideas and grow along with others during their individual journeys.
For over a decade Nica has worked in the mental health field as a clinical social worker providing individual and group therapy using evidence based practices and tools.
Nica received a bachelors degree in social work from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in social work with a concentration in advanced social work practice with individuals, families, and groups from Western Michigan University.
